What's Yoga Nidra ?
The practice of Yoga Nidra often referred to as the 'Yoga of Sleep', is a passive meditation taken in a reclined position which guides through a series of stages to a deep rest non sleep state.
Through this process, the brain activity slows and moves into the Theta & Delta wave range, the slowest waves which are known to trigger the body's innate restorative & healing programs.
The Parasympathetic rest-digest nervous system is activated through the settling of the Poly vagal Nerve network in this deep rest state helping the conscious regulation of the Sympathetic fight-flight response in everyday activities.
